Pennsylvania-based company expanding to Young-Rainey STAR Center in Largo

LARGO — A Pennsylvania-based electronic manufacturing services provider is expanding to the Young-Rainey Science, Technology and Research Center in Largo.

Primus Technologies manufactures a range of aerospace, medical, transportation, and industrial products. This partnership will allow Primus to provide stocking, shipping and repair services to Raytheon, a technology company that specializes in defense, civil government and cybersecurity solutions, also located in the Young-Rainey.

Primus will hire at least five new employees to run the 2,200-square-foot space. In Pennsylvania, the company has three locations and about 500 employees. Largo will be the company's first remote location.

Young-Rainey is a 96-acre manufacturing and technology campus with more than 40 companies and 1,500 employees utilizing the space. In 2016, Pinellas Country sold the property to Industrial Reality Group for about $10 million.
